FINALBY( ) Arrives in Kabukicho: A New Immersive Ritual at ZEROTOKYO

On October 25, 2025, the boundaries of sound, space, and sensory perception will be broken open in Shinjuku’s Kabukicho. FINALBY( ), the boundary-defying audio-visual performance unit centered on ∈Y∋ (EYE of BOREDOMS) and Cosmic Lab, returns to Tokyo with their most ambitious show to date: FINALBY( ) LIVE in Kabukicho EXPANDED, held at the state-of-the-art ZEROTOKYO venue.

Following legendary sets at FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL, Hong Kong Art Week, and the emotionally charged final performance at Osaka’s Misono Universe, this new chapter carves open an interdimensional doorway right in the heart of Japan’s neon jungle. With XR lighting, immersive soundscapes, and machine-driven ritual choreography, this is not a concert. It’s a metaphysical resurrection of place, memory, and sound.

A Ceremony of Transcendence, Not Performance

FINALBY( ) isn’t just a band or a project. It is a temporal device. Spearheaded by ∈Y∋, whose past with BOREDOMS, Naked City, Hanatarash, and Destroy 2 earned him global cult status, this collective unites visual technologists, machine engineers, and sonic mystics. Together, they transform venues into ritual interfaces—where time unravels, space vibrates, and audience consciousness is shifted.

At ZEROTOKYO, FINALBY( ) will fully utilize the venue’s permanently installed XR visual and lighting system, jointly developed by COSMIC LAB and Faith Property. Unlike traditional stage setups, the entire environment will respond as one unified instrument. Light, sound, motion, and machine behavior are synchronized in real-time, launching audiences into the unexplored zones of cognition and perception.

ZEROTOKYO: Not Just a Venue, but a Vessel

Located in the Tokyu Kabukicho Tower, ZEROTOKYO is Japan’s most technologically advanced club-venue hybrid, jointly operated by Tokyu Corporation and Sony Music Entertainment. With a 1500-person capacity and massive multi-zone configuration, it stands as a temple for next-generation live experiences. FINALBY( ) will push the space beyond even its own design limits.

This performance is more than a live show. It is a reinstallation of cultural memory. FINALBY( ) will reinstall the “memory of Sennichimae,” the Osaka cultural district that housed Misono Universe for 70 years, directly into Kabukicho’s concrete skin. Through a blend of XR immersion, quantum-inspired visuals, and sound vortexes, the show becomes a psychic reprogramming of Tokyo’s entertainment district itself.

DOMMUNE, AFTERHOURS, AND BEYOND

The main event doesn’t end when the lights dim. The official afterparty, curated by DOMMUNE KABUKICHO, kicks off downstairs in the SOUNDGATE subfloor. DOMMUNE founder Naohiro Ukawa will co-direct this phase, bringing together underground legends and alternate media thinkers. Then, from 11PM onward, the evening cascades into SOUNDGATE, ZEROTOKYO’s legendary all-night party.

One ticket grants access to the entire continuum—ritual, afterglow, and ascension. With a lineup including Takkyu Ishino, Shinichi Osawa, Ken Ishii, and Yoshinori Sunahara, plus mind-bending VJ sets by H2KGRAPHICS, this is not a night to be consumed. It is one to be entered—fully, willingly, without a map.
