A WEALTH OF EXPERIENCE
Based out of Tokyo, Japan, Kaala has produced countless shows and tours across Japan’s underground, released records on both sides of the Pacific, taken documentary films on the road, and contributed to the normalization of new media products.
We’ve also been to 1000s of shows, in 10s of bands, and supported our fare share of festivals. Which is to say, we’re experienced managing the many aspects of all that creates this wonderful scene. And quite passionate about bringing it to you.
The Barrier to Entry
This world is not intentionally guarded; it is functionally invisible. Access is the primary challenge. The complexity of the music scene is a significant barrier for international visitors and even domestic fans outside the core network. It is a fragmented system with countless moving parts.

Logistics: Most ticketing systems, venue maps, and schedules are exclusively in Japanese and operate on hyper-local platforms.
