Lineup

ABIGAIL

Formed in 1992, Abigail is one of Japan’s filthiest and most infamous black/thrash metal exports. Often credited with pioneering the country’s black metal underground, they’ve since embraced a sleazy, Venom‑soaked sound that’s equal parts street brawl and Satanic sex party. Albums like Forever Street Metal Bitch and The Final Damnation spit out punked-up thrash riffs, blast beats, and goat-worship vocals with gleeful depravity.

Frontman Yasuyuki Suzuki is a cult figure, and Abigail live is less concert, more ritualistic chaos — leather, spikes, sleaze, and 666% commitment to blasphemy.

LIFEBLOOD

Lifeblood formed in Tokyo in 2013 and dwell deep in the intersection of depressive black / doom metal. Their album Melancholic Euphoria leans into vast sorrow: minimal drumming, bass‑melodies, vocals that drag through emotional ruin. They’ve shared stages with Japan’s darker underground acts (Anatomia, Begräbnis, etc.) and remain active in the scene. Live, they bring a crushing mood — moments of black-blue beauty punctuated by suffocating heaviness.

MILITARY SHADOW

Military Shadow is a Tokyo-based force fusing raw punk, hardcore, and heavy metal with a militant aesthetic. Since emerging in the early 2010s, they’ve cultivated a sharp-edged sound driven by d-beat rhythms, shouted vocals, and classic metal riffing that nods to Motörhead, Sacrilege, and Discharge alike. Their music hits with precision — fast, pounding, and stripped of any excess.

They’ve shared bills with some of Japan’s best in the underground punk/metal axis, and their stage presence carries a grim, no-bullshit authority. If Abigail is chaos, Military Shadow is formation and fire.

ABC BUTCHER

Butcher ABC (also styled ABC Butcher when playing with members of Invictus) is a long‑standing goregrind / death metal unit from Tokyo. Their DNA began in noisecore and gradually evolved toward putrid, grinding death/gore. Their 2025 Demo 2025 shows they’re still hitting hard — two tracks, raw blast, gore vocals, and crushing riff density.

Whether under the name Butcher ABC or ABC Butcher, their reputation rests on brutal consistency. They’re the kind of band that slashes open ear canals and doesn’t apologize for it.

Venue - Gold Sounds

Asakusa Gold Sounds is a long-standing live house in the heart of Tokyo, tucked in the B1 of the Bekkoame Building at 1‑3‑8 Komagata, Taitō Ward. It’s about a 5‑minute walk from Asakusa Station. The stage is intimate, but well regarded in the Tokyo scene for its consistent booking of rock, punk, metal, and alternative acts.

Gold Sounds offers solid acoustics for its scale. The setup favors raw performance over spectacle—meaning bands lean heavily on energy, presence, and dynamics. You’ll hear crowd noise, breathing, feedback—nothing gets fully buried. Their philosophy seems to be “sound meets people” rather than separation.
